So, I finally got my Talbuk, and bought all 8 of them. :D I don't however, have Nagrand Slam finished *sighs* I stopped by Halaa as much as I could, and only have a total of 3 kills. No one goes there anymore and it makes me sad...I just can't find the freakin quests that I'm missing :( 85/87 is so close!
Even though I've set the Tan War Talbuk as my main mount, I would still LOVE to get the Dark War Talbuk, but I'll probably need to pay someone to let me kill them 100 times in Halaa for the tokens :D Maybe a trade of I'll let you kill me if you let me kill you, or something.
One of these days...
So, the day before yesterday I bought my T9 helm (last piece) and gemmed/enchanted it...Then, yesterday, I got a slightly better helm drop in hPit. I'm trying to decide if the extremely slight improvement is really worth buying new gems for it. I would lose hit (which I'm already capped on) and gain haste, but only gain like 3 AP and 10 crit rating. Do I really want to spend another 500+ gold to gem/enchant a helm with that little of an improvement?
Decisions Decisions...time to farm some more crusader enchants to sell, I'm poor!

Having a good guild is wonderful.
So, Ashenleaf actually started out as an alt in a Faces of Wow guild for the facesofwow.net site. We would have about 11 people on during peak times there at the creation of the guild, but it ended up dying down as people got mad that it was on a pvp server and what not. I kept my shaman there as well as my husband playing his shaman with me. Now...they are our mains because we love them so much.
We finally left the Faces of Wow guild on Sargeras (but left our alts in it, since it was actually built as an alt guild). Our new guild was looking for an Enh and Resto shaman to fill their raid build, so we were in luck. They have already been running me through the heroics that drop items that I need, as well at my first 10man ToC and 10man ICC. I've gone from 4200gs to 4800gs in 2 days! (and still need the freak'n axe from hFoS that I've been farming for a week) I don't think it exists, I've never seen it, just those stupid throwing daggers! I did get that nice trinket though. They have even helped me grab a few resto pieces for when I want to duel spec.
Yay for having a guild that actually actively helps gear their players :)

Why do whiners roll on PvP servers?
I was in Nagrand farming my Maghar rep and flew over Halaa to see if any alliance were wandering around for an easy kill (still need to kill them for the pvp quest and my Nagrand Slam achievement). Didn't see anyone, but I had to turn in my crystals, or dust, or whatever it is to Halaa. I fly in, and a 70 rogue is attacking a 66 dk, so naturally, I help kill the rogue, turn in my stuff, and fly off to turn in my beads. A couple minutes later, I get a tell from "Unkwon" a lvl 1 belf rogue
Unkwon: You noob, pick on someone your own level
Me: This is a pvp server, maybe you should reroll on a pve one instead
Unkwon: I'm trying to get rep
Me: You don't get rep from halaa
Unkwon: Whatever noob.
Me: And picking on a lvl 66 dk is any better?
Never heard back after that, so I'm sure he logged to get his main (since he was in full BoA gear)...O'well, I was headed to bed anyways.
Why do people roll on PvP servers if they don't like the consequences of it? Sorry, you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Res and get on with your leveling...
I think Blizz allowing you to create both factions on a pvp server was a mistake, now we have to listen to whiners call us noobs when we kill them.

How do people fail as DKs?
I mean, they are so easy to dps...
I'll start out by telling a faildk story from the other day.
My husband and I were on our shaman (at lvl 76) in a random instance. I was dps, he was healer, a warrior tank, a 77 hunter dps, and a 75 faildk dps. I was hitting 1800 dps easy, hunter was hitting 800 (not very good either), and the dk was hitting, are you ready for it...400dps... 400 DPS!!! *sighs* He never used icy touch or plague strike, did a couple death and decays, but only a couple, and pretty much white swung the entire instance. On one of the bosses a leather healing chestpeice dropped, and as shaman, my husband could not need, even though it was better. So he asked if he could have it from whoever got it. Well, the dk got it and refused to give it too him, saying if he needed it, he should have needed. No matter how much everyone in the party tried to explain that a shaman who wears mail can not need on anything but mail. *sigh again*
So, My husband started giving the dk a hard time about his dps, posting recount after fights where my husband (the healer) out dps'd him by 500+ dps...We got to a boss that does a shatter and he told me to go stand by him to kill him, and I said sure :P This dk was being a complete ass and figured we'd make his repair bill more than what he would sell the leather chestpeice for (yes, we are vindictive). So, hubby kept me healed, dk got shattered to death by me (made me feel better) So, we get to the last boss, and we told him to just give my hubby the leather chestpeice and we would stop hasseling him...he voted to kick my hubby out of the party and it passed (the other party members said "crap I thought that was to kick the dk") So, I said, "too bad, because I'm with him" and left the party with a warrior, and two faildps.
So, we jumped into another random, got the same instance and finished it in a 4th the time it took us to get to the last boss with the failgroup...And the dk that was in this new party...used pestilence! I was like "OMG the dk used diseases!" and my husband proclaimed to the group "Thank you so much, you just made my wife's night by using pestilence"
So...I made a dk on my hubby's account to run one of my random alts through some instances. How is it that a lvl 58 dk is doing 400 dps...the same as a lvl 75? It isn't that hard...icy touch/plague strike/blood strike/blood strike...

Ashenleaf hit 80 and Nagrand Slam
Finally! My Shaman hit 80! She was able to get her t9 gloves as she dinged too...so that was handy. Already at over 3200gs and she's hitting 2.5k to 3k in heroics, so I feel I'm doing pretty well for a brand new 80.
So, now that I am 80 and not playing leveling with the hubby anymore, I'm actually playing her more often and trying to get some achievements. I finished hellfire and zangarmarsh quest achievements and moved to Nagrand...OMG! I spent 10 hours yesterday trying to find more nagrand quests! I'm currently at 85/87 and have done the aldor chain from shadowmoon valley, did the "i'm saved" semi-rare quest, both of the mob drop quests, the entire greatmother chain, the "i see dead draenei" chain and the goblin jumper quest line...I don't know what else I'm missing other than 2 consortium quests that you can only do if you are nuetral (and i'm friendly) and the halaa pvp quest for the first time (and that nearly impossible in this day and age). I still have the end of the aldor chain that sends me to shadow labs...but that is still going to leave me one short...
me = not a happy camper
I've decided I'll finish my maghar rep then start on a different zone for the quest achievment and hope something sends me back to nagrand to finish...otherwise this achievement might make me go /emo and /wrist

Remind me to look up Battlegroups before I make an alt!
I am horrible at picking servers and factions that are horrid at pvp *sighs* Sargeras (Shadowburn battlegroup) is horrible for horde out of the 10 av's in total that I've painfully played through, I've won 1, and it was barely (like 30/0 resources). I've done about 15 of wsg and ab, and won 0. I did a couple eots the other day and won them both though.
My Draenei Paladin on Madoran (Ruin battlegroup) was okay for 19s bracket, but 19s bracket is always hit or miss depending on how many lowbies queue. I only queue once I hit 16/26/36/46 etc...but I had 35 wsg tokens by lvl 20, and as holy, I just carried the flag, or let 5 people hit on me while I spam healed myself and the dps took them out. It is sad however when I was nomally highest damage, most KBs, highest healing, and nomally ran at least 2 if not all of the flags (hand of freedom and gift of the naru ftw) Then, I hit the 20s bracket...ouch...losing ABs 0/1600? Not having enough players to play a full AB? Everyone fighting in the middle of wsg, running in one at a time like lemmings? Really? Needless to say I have not won any bgs since I hit 20s bracket and am soon to level out of it. At least I usually hit 20k + healing done in the ABs, I feel like I'm doing a little to help out.
My Draenei Shaman on Scarlet Crusade (Shadowburn battlegroup) is very on and off. One day alliance will win, the next horde. So not too many complaints here.
My Belf Priest on Frostmorne (Bloodlust battlegroup) was leveling through AV since lvl 55ish. I think she's won 1 maybe 2. There are so many 60 twinks that dont upgrade to BC. I did hear that this battlegroup owns as horde for 80s though...so I guess since Alliance can't win 80s, they just twink out for 60s.
I had always rolled on a pvp server, and until late have made characters no an RP and a PvE server...they are so different in atmosphere. Seems that they have more newbies to the game, more gold beggers, more whiners...Not sure why anyone could stand playing on them full-time. Thankfully the 2 that I'm on are only alts, and I spend most of my time is BGs :D
So, next time I make an alt on a friends server, I need to make sure to do a little research on the Battlgroup to see if I'm going to have a painful progression in PvP...

Welcome to Women of WoW
First post! Now isn't that exciting.
A little about myself:
I went to school majoring in graphic design and digital media (focusing on 3d animation) and minoring in illustration, so I'm a bit of an art nut and computer/gaming nerd. I have been since I first started playing Wolfenstein 3d, Quake 1, and Ultima Online.
I have been playing World of Warcraft since beta, and I own and adore my collector edition pets (my zergling pwns your grunty!). I am an alt-a-holic and actually have to delete characters if I want to make any more. I have quit playing multiple times but always find myself coming back. I think my longest time away from WoW was 6 months. And during that time I transfered away my main to my second account because I thought I was shutting down my main one for good...stupid me :P
My main played characters are:
Ashenleaf - 77 Tauren Shaman (enh) on Sargeras
Vysti - 60 Blood Elf Priest (disc/holy) on Frostmourne
Ashlique - 39 Draenei Shaman (enh) on Scarlet Crusade
Ashlique - 21 Draenei Paladin (holy) on Madoran
and masses of other alts all over the place that I jump on to use up rested xp, but don't play very regularly unless given a reason to :)
